Matthew Greenhouse
Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Matthew Greenhouse’s entire career has been dedicated to
helping companies communicate and collaborate more efficiently.
As Chief Executive Officer and Founder of ColSpace, Matthew designed
the company’s Digital Office architecture and oversees strategic
direction, operational management, and business development for
the company.
Prior to ColSpace, Matthew was part of KPMG’s
Electronic Commerce Practice where he designed and implemented groundbreaking
e-commerce solutions for Fortune 500 companies. During his tenure
at KPMG, Matthew and his team created an online system for the Newspaper
Association of America (NAA) that allowed media buyers, advertising
agencies, and newspapers to place and execute buys more fluidly
and cost-effectively. He also designed and implemented media agency
OMD’s first corporate intranet. The intranet provided an infrastructure
that helped the agency collaborate on a global basis, and the company
continues to expand and customize it to this day. Matthew developed
one of the first Internet gaming platforms for KPMG client Bally
Gaming which was approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission, and he
was involved in the initial efforts to connect television viewers
with their favorite shows online via projects he worked on for AsSeenIn.
When he left KPMG in 2000, Matthew had grown its Electronic Commerce
Practice to include over 75 consultants and billings of over $10
million.
Matthew was also a senior consultant at Texas-based
software company BSG. While there, he received the Gartner Group
award for Best Internet Infrastructure of the Year for an e-commerce
platform he designed for the utilities industry. This system was
adopted by over 70% of North American utilities as part of the electrical
deregulation mandated by the government.
Matthew has an Industrial Engineering degree from
Northwestern University. A native of Atlanta, he is a "big
Braves fan". He is an avid golfer and holographer and currently
resides in Manhattan.
